Lecitrailer, in collaboration with Valx and Carrier, have put into circulation the first unit of a reefer semi-trailer equipped with a 100% electric Carrier refrigeration system that is powered by a battery charged with an electric grid connection when the vehicle is stationary, and regenerative energy produced by one of the Valx axles of the semi-trailer when using the brakes in motion, thus eliminating emissions from the refrigeration equipment.
This is an Evolution reefer semi-trailer by Lecitrailer, equipped with Valx E2!HD axles that store the energy generated by moving in a battery, which is then transported to the autonomous and electric Vector eCool refrigeration unit by Carrier, making it the first option in the market without a combustion engine of its kind.
With these reefer, the three brands reaffirm their commitment to reducing emissions and increasing sustainability and efficiency in refrigerated transport.
